Questions about QR, NFC and Google reviews
Answers about activation, QR and NFC, Google locations and scan statistics in RateThe.Place.
Do customers need an app?+
No. The phone camera opens the review form. Google may require sign-in.
Can I activate after delivery?+
Yes. Use the hidden package code, choose a location and confirm in your account.
Do you guarantee positive reviews?+
No. We make authentic feedback easier. We do not filter by satisfaction or reward reviews.
How does NFC work and how is it different from QR?+
Scan QR with your camera. For NFC, hold a compatible phone with NFC enabled near the plaque. Both methods on one plaque open the same unique URL, which leads to the Google review form after activation.
Where does the customer write a review?+
Only on Google. People scanning do not create a RateThe.Place account or fill in a rating form on our platform. Google may require sign-in.
What do scan statistics mean?+
They count visits to a plaque’s unique URL through QR or NFC. We do not distinguish the reading method or present scans as published Google reviews.
Can I manage several locations?+
Yes. One organization can have multiple Google locations and packages. During activation you choose the location for the entire package.
Why is my delivered plaque not redirecting yet?+
The product must be sold or issued and the package activated for the chosen Google location. Use the separate activation code. The public QR is not an activation code.
RateThe.Place is an independent product. It is not an official Google service or partner.
